📅 Day 1
Ho Chi Minh - Arrival
+

Your journey kicks off with a warm welcome from our Kampá Tour guide at Ho Chi Minh City airport. Once called Saigon, this energetic metropolis is known for its dynamic pace and sensory delights. Nicknamed the “sleepless city,” its streets pulse with life from morning till night.

Take this time to unwind and explore at your own pace.

As evening falls, immerse yourself in the city’s lively nightlife, perfect for bar lovers and night owls alike. Or simply enjoy a peaceful stroll past colonial landmarks, browse local souvenir shops, and sample authentic Vietnamese street food. Get a good night’s rest—your exciting 7-Day Best of South Vietnam Tour officially begins tomorrow!

📅 Day 2
Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi
+

Morning:

Begin your day with a visit to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, a historic site from the Indochina War located just outside Ho Chi Minh City. Venture underground to explore this vast network of over 200 kilometers of narrow tunnels—just 70 cm wide and 90 cm high—once used as meeting areas, kitchens, and even hospitals during wartime.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the city.

Afternoon:

Continue your discovery of Ho Chi Minh City with a half-day tour of its iconic landmarks. Start at the Independence Palace, where victory was declared in 1975. Then visit the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office, two remarkable examples of French colonial architecture.

Wrap up your tour with the War Remnants Museum, which offers a powerful and moving look into Vietnam’s wartime history through vivid photos and exhibits.

You’ll return to your hotel afterward and have the evening free to enjoy the city at your own pace.
Note: The Notre Dame Cathedral is under renovation until 2027, so your visit may include nearby attractions such as Book Street.

📅 Day 3
Ho Chi Minh - Cai Be - Can Tho
+

Today, we leave behind the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City and head south to discover the captivating Mekong Delta—a region where land and water blend into a unique cultural landscape.

Upon arriving in Cai Be, the adventure begins with a boat ride into the heart of the Delta. Drift past riverside homes on stilts and step into a slower pace of life. Visit local workshops to see how coconut candy, popped rice, rice wine, and even snake wine are made, and enjoy tasting these regional specialties.

Continue your journey by rowing sampan through the peaceful canals of Tan Phong Islet, guided by locals.

After a delicious lunch, cruise onward to Vinh Long, where you’ll witness traditional brick kilns and pottery-making in action.

The day ends with a car transfer to Can Tho, the bustling heart of the Delta, where you’ll rest and recharge for more discoveries ahead.

📅 Day 4
Can Tho – Phu Quoc
+

Start your day early with a warm meet-up with your fellow travelers, then set off for Can Tho—the vibrant capital of the Mekong Delta, located along the southern branch of the Mekong River.

Upon arrival, board a boat and head out to discover the bustling Cai Rang Floating Market. Here, you’ll witness a colorful array of boats piled high with fruits, vegetables, and various goods, providing a fascinating glimpse into the region’s iconic “river trading” culture.

After exploring the market, transfer to the airport for a flight to Phu Quoc, a peaceful island retreat nestled in the Gulf of Thailand at Vietnam’s southern tip.

End your day with a relaxing overnight stay on Phu Quoc, where calm beaches and gentle waves await.

📅 Day 5
Phu Quoc island
+

Enjoy two leisurely days with complete freedom to explore and unwind on the captivating island of Phu Quoc, often referred to as a “paradise for relaxation and well-being” by enthusiasts of pristine sandy beaches.

You can spend your time relaxing on the serene, unspoiled beaches, nestled in the shade of towering trees along the Gulf of Thailand. Take leisurely strolls along the coastline, immersing yourself in the island’s stunning natural beauty. Alternatively, embark on invigorating hikes through the untouched jungles of Phu Quoc National Park.

As the sun sets, retire to your comfortable hotel for a peaceful night’s rest, rejuvenated by your idyllic days on this island paradise.

📅 Day 6
Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh - departure
+

Your final day will vary based on your flight time. You’ll take a return flight from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City and connect with your international departure.

This concludes your unforgettable “7-Day Best of South Vietnam” journey with Kampá Tours. We wish you safe travels and hope to welcome you again!

Absolutely. We specialize in custom-made and private tours, so you’re welcome to request any changes to the proposed itinerary. Whether it’s adjusting the pace, adding or skipping destinations, or modifying activities, our travel advisors will work with you to create a personalized journey that fits your interests and needs.

You can use international credit cards like Visa or Mastercard in most hotels, restaurants, and shops. Keep in mind that Vietnamese banks often charge a transaction fee of 3–4% for card payments.

For larger transactions, some businesses in major cities accept euros or US dollars. However, for small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnamese Dong (VND). You can exchange foreign currency at banks, jewelry stores, or even at your hotel. ATMs are also widely available for withdrawing VND.

You can settle the balance using one of the following options:

  • Cash on arrival: We accept USD or EUR, calculated at the current exchange rate on the day of payment. Please ensure your banknotes are clean and not damaged, as old or torn notes may be refused.

  • Credit card at our office: You can pay with Visa, Mastercard (3% bank fee), or American Express (4% fee). Payments are processed in Vietnamese Dong (VND).

  • Bank transfer: This should be completed at least 10 days before your arrival to ensure the funds are received in time.

To confirm your booking, a deposit is required. You can choose one of the following methods:

  • Bank transfer: All necessary account details will be included in the travel invoice we send you.

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Amex): Payments are made through our bank’s secure online platform. This method often includes travel insurance benefits provided by your card (e.g., trip cancellation, medical coverage). Please note, however, that an additional fee applies: 3% for Visa or Mastercard, and 4% for American Express. All card payments are processed in Vietnamese Dong (VND).

As a general reference, a 2-week journey through Vietnam typically costs around $1,450 USD per person when traveling as a pair, not including international flights. If you’re planning a 3 to 4-week trip, expect to budget between $1,900 and $2,500 USD per person.

For larger groups (4–6 people), the cost per traveler becomes more economical. Keep in mind that final prices depend on your travel period, trip length, type of services, and personal preferences (such as accommodation and activities).

Vietnam’s climate varies greatly from north to south due to its diverse geography and its long stretch of about 2,000 km. While one area might experience humidity, cold, or rain, another region could be enjoying bright and sunny weather. Based on our experience, the ideal period to travel to Vietnam is between October and April.

Within this range, the months of October to November and March to May stand out as the best. During these times, the weather is generally pleasant, and these months also tend to have the least rainfall throughout the year. Although July and August can be quite warm (around 30-35°C), Halong Bay often still enjoys sunny conditions. It’s also a great chance to see the landscape covered with vast stretches of green or golden terraced rice fields.

As for the southern part of Vietnam, even though it is the rainy season, the showers usually last just an hour or two daily, leaving plenty of sunshine for the rest of the day. If you already have specific dates in mind—whether winter, summer, or otherwise—please let us know, and we will help you identify the best months to visit.
