Vietnam’s climate varies greatly from north to south due to its diverse landscape and its length of over 2,000 kilometers. This means that when one region experiences cold, rain, or humidity, another may be enjoying sunny, pleasant weather. Based on our experience, the best time to visit Vietnam is from October to April.
Within this window, October to November and March to May stand out as the most favorable months, offering mild temperatures and minimal rainfall across the country. Although July and August can be quite warm (30–35°C), Halong Bay often sees clear skies and sunshine. This is also the time to admire the breathtaking terraced rice fields, lush green or golden yellow depending on the season.
